Loving the Earth

"If we want children to flourish, to become truly empowered, then let us allow them to love the earth before we ask them to save it."  ~David Sobel

Maybe you've seen this quote by David Sobel hanging above the lockers on your way outside to the playground at Opal School. For me, it's a quote that holds so many memories as each year I watch children fall in love with the Earth over and over again. It happened today on our hike to the upper meadow. The trees had left us some presents: enough leaves to keep us entertained for hours. What a magical experience for us to share together this afternoon.
